JAMBATAN PUTRA (PRECINCT 1 and 2)
With a span of 435 metres, the Putra Bridge is considered the most prestigious bridge in Putrajaya. The Putra Bridge connects the Government Precinct 1 to the Mixed Development Precinct and links Dataran Putra with the Boulevard. Formal procession between the Boulevard and the Dataran Putra would pass through this bridge. Architecturally, it is inspired by the design of the famous Khaju Bridge in Isfahan, Iran.
The upper level of the Bridge forms part of the Boulevard. This unique three-deck bridge provides vehicle, monorail and pedestrian access. Besides providing the link between Precinct 1 and Precinct 2 on the Core Island, it has been designed to be a special feature of Putrajaya. The piers will be developed into fine dining restaurants.
Bridge Structure:
1. Upper Level which is at RL 35m forms part of the Boulevard that connects to the Dataran Putra and the Prime Minister’s Office Complex
2. Lower Level at RL 29m is used for service tunnel, LRT track, service road to Dataran Putra, and pedestrians
3. Lowest Level at the piers will be utilized for restaurant overlooking the water of the Lake and places for boat berthing

Can’t seem to get a taxi or teksi, in Malaysia speak, to KL to check into our hotel. Then, friendly Arif came, tried to help but no cab…haha! Back to the old school way, flag them down on the side of the road!
Thanks Arif, we know you tried!

The 300 metres circular Dataran Putra adorned with light and water features provides the centrepiece for Presint 1.Dataran Putra is bounded by Perdana Putra, Masjid Putra, Putra Bridge and the Promenade. Together they constitute a most impressive showcase of Putrajaya’s unique architectural form.
Designed basically as two concentric plazas surrounded by Taman Putra Perdana, the circular ceremonial area is an open hard landscape encircled by Chahar Baghs, which acts as a transition between the parks and the ceremonial area. Inside the Chahar Baghs is carefully arranged interplay of paths, water channels, flower beds and trees. Beyond the Chahar Baghs is a sea of colourful local flora.
The Dataran is divided into 11 segments, in the pattern of an 11-pointed star. The outer 11-pointed star represents the 11 states of Malaya when the country gained independence in August 1957, the inner 13-pointed star the 13 states that formed Malaysia in 1963 and the 14-pointed star inlcudes the new addition of the Federal Territory. The progressive arrangements of the different pointed stars finally culminate in a circle in the centre of the Dataran. The circle symbolises the ultimate goal of unity.

Monumen Alaf Baru Putrajaya
etegration | 4 Jan ’21 | 7:32 amMonumen Alaf Baru Putrajaya also known as the Millennium Monument or could it be “New Millennium Monument”? At night, it’s also a lighthouse.
Also seen in the skies of this pano are para-gliders having a good time flying around the Hotair balloons take off area waving to anyone who waves at them.
Millennium Monument is a national monument in Putrajaya, Malaysia which is analogous to the Washington Monument in Washington DC. It was the first national monument to be built in Putrajaya. It is uniquely shaped like an obelisk with etchings denoting important periods and milestones in the nation’s history. The monument is 68m tall. It stands in a 25 hectare park in Precinct 2. The monument is constructed of solid metal structures. At night, the monument serves as a beacon with strong light projected at 360 degrees and sweeping lights visible from various locations in Putrajaya. The lights also guide the cruise boats.
